Batangas has a new Governor!
former 3 term Governor and Congressman, now re-elected Governor of the Province of Batangas Hermilando "Dodo" Ingco Mandanas was proclaimed winner of the 2016 Batangas elections on the 10th of May 2016 by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Provincial Board of Canvassers at the Batangas Provincial Capitol.

Governor Mandanas, or Gov Dodo as he better known, returns to the provincial capitol 9 years after his last term in 2004.
Running on a platform of HELP (Health Education and Livelyhood Projects) Batangas, Gov Dodo is best known for his scholarship program which he institutionalized during his first term as Governor of Batangas in 1995. Gov Dodo is known to have thousands of scholars and promised to increase the number of scholars once he returns to office.
Gov Dodo was proclaimed at the Provincial Capitol accompanied by his previous and current scholars as well as the youth that supported him.
